Why it is Initial to Stay Near Nature?

A landscape or a small balcony garden, gardening is always a good idea. If you don’t like gardening or think that it is of no use then have an insight on why a personal garden is a must! Let us know how a garden can wondrously improve the way of living.

Let’s understand the various health benefits of gardening.

Mental health- Studies have proven that ‘the stress hormone’ Cortisol is controlled through gardening. This is not it; chronically elevated Cortisol levels are linked to everything from immune function to obesity to memory, learning problems and heart diseases.

Heart health- Experts says that regular gardening cuts stroke and heart attack risk by up to 30% for those over 60 and just 10 minutes during midday gardening can give you enough vitamin D to reduce risks of heart disease, osteoporosis and various cancers.

Hand strength- As we age, diminishing dexterity and strength in the hands can gradually narrow the range of activities that are possible. Gardening keeps those hand muscles vigorous and agile without other exercises.

Brain health- Dementia is a chronic or persistent disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease or injury and marked by memory disorders, personality changes and impaired reasoning. Researchers found daily gardening to represent the single biggest risk reduction for dementia, reducing incidence by 36%.

Immunity system- Vitamin D also raises immunity power and helps to fight off colds and flues. And the “friendly” soil bacteria Mycobacterium vaccae — common in garden dirt and absorbed by inhalation— has been found to alleviate symptoms of psoriasis, allergies and asthma, so it increases our ability to fend off infection.

Gardening is not only fun, but it is also a natural therapy to get a healthier lifestyle, so go ahead and get your hands dirty.
